Vivekananda Sarovar- Raipur

Vivekananda Sarovar, popularly known as Budha Talab is one the of oldest water bodies and landmarks of the city. It is believed that Swami Vivekanada used to bath and swim in this lake when he stayed in Raipur for 2 years during his teenage along with his family(1877 to 1879). #VivekanandaSarovar

Mahant Ghasidas Museum- Raipur

Built by Maharaja Mahant Ghasidas of Rajnandgaon in 1875, the museum comprises five galleries and features different sections like archaeology, anthropology and natural history. Museum also houses a library, where one can find collection of records of city’s history.
