This impressive stepwell known as Toorji ka Jhalra was constructed by Jodhpur’s ruler Maharaja Abhay Singh Ji’s spouse Maharani Tanwar Ji in the year 1740. She was better known by the name Toorji Ji among the people of Jodhpur. #ToorjikaJhalra

Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the largest private residence in the world. The Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph located in Jodhpur, It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar.

The Mehrangarh Fort was built in the year 1459 by Rao Jodha, the ruler of Mandore and the founder of the city of Jodhpur. Whilst building the city, he realized that the location is safe, isolated, and hence apt to be his capital. That is when he decided to build a massive fort spread over an area of 5 km with a height of 125 m to keep his loved ones and the people of his kingdom safe from invaders. #MehrangarhFort
